So why is September 7, 2009 such and important day? Well let me tell you. It all started back in the end of 2007 when and idea was hatched in my brain for a website that could change the way musicians exchange their music equipment online through trade or buying and selling. It also was a concern of mine that some equipment could be tossed away and just sit in some landfill somewhere never to decompose and be detrimental to our environment. I know…I know this is not some revolutionary idea, I have heard of Ebay and Craigslist, as well as many other forum sites out there. Green Gear Music is totally different in the way that it is a centralized place for music equipment and music equipment only! The layout is also similar to an Auction / Social Networking website and not a forum.
Anyways, I’m staring to get on my soap box and that is wayyyyyy to deep for my first post here on tumblr. So back to the question, why is September 7, 2009 so important? Well, after well over a year (almost 2 years) I have had this idea and had no idea how to bring it to life. Alas, a little over a month ago I met this dude at Sparkplaza, in downtown Johnson City, TN….thanks @thinkjose. This dude was George Woods, and he was the missing piece to the puzzle, and grabbed the reigns and has breathed life, or programmed it, into Green Gear Music.

Thus bringing me to my answer. So why is September 7, 2009 such and important day? Green Gear Music will launch our BETA website on September 7, 2009. Things will be in their most basic form and development and updating will absolutely take place, but never-the-less, Green Gear Music will be alive and functioning and what has been almost 2 years of brain fodder will have it’s very own place on our ever growing universe known as the World Wide Web.
So thanks if you have taken time to join, read, or whatever about this historic moment for Green Gear Music. This realy means so much to me and to George for that matter. If you are on Facebook you can join our group here. If you are on Myspace you can be our friend by clicking here. You can also visit www.greengearmusic.com and view the splash page that is up until the website makes its launch. In the meantime get your gear ready because buying, selling, or TRADING just got easier and more fun and as we develop as a website it will just get easier and easier…and funner and funner (is funner a word?).
Peace. Hope. Trade.
